The Armory Show
I was disappointed by the last shows of the Armory, but finally this year it was fun and exciting...
There are some galleries in NY that displayed the very same works than the Armory show of the previous years... but this year the pieces were impressive and more fun for the people who lives in New York and who regularly go to art galleries
On this show there were many art works which use modern technology (i.e. #Pace, #BryceWolkowitzGallery, #GalerieDanielTemplon, #SeanKelly and #PaulKasminGallery)
Also, lots of works were moving and shiny and even with flashing lights -which were interesting elements...
Other galleries (like #JeffreyDeitchGallery, #AxelVoordtGalley) curated their space in an different way.

It is a non profit organization. They always invite some new galleries to join their show and provide them with small booth. Although some are fairly new, most of the galleries show interesting works. Some of their member galleries may not be as famous as the Armory show galleries, and the curation may not be too polished either...but the quality of their art could have the same quality as those at the Armory.
So if you have good eye for art, the Nada is a good place to purchase works before they get too expensive....

Spring/ Break Show
This show is curated by two different kinds of people: professional curators who already have a lot of experience and the ones who just started to curate an art show. Each curator or artist will have a space where they present works. Last year's show was organized in the old NY post office - a rustic space. But this year's it was held in a modern office building. So it gave off a totally different scene. I liked the show because I could see the relationship of color, space, and art-object pretty well. With clean and boxed modern office spaces, though, many rooms couldn't not show the art as the curators would have intended... The art often seemed to become part of an interior office space rather than of a curated art space.
The Art Show
Most classy and stylish works are presented by well established American Art Dealers. You may not find most innovation or adventure art works, but you will find most gorgeous works at the show.

Volta
At the Volta show, the gallery presets only one artist. This year, I could see many different kinds of art works. Lots of innovation works are shown which was nice, but I wish they could curate the show in a more interesting way.
