The Metro Show

The Metro Show was held on the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.

There are many American Folk arts and the art work which has a story and can imagine a story. There are pieces from southern folk art to Dan Dailey's interesting lighting works. Since I didn't grow up in the States and live in New York, it is hard for me to see and understand American culture and humor. So I love the Metro Show since I could see some of American culture through the American folk art pieces.

Chinese Ceramics were so popular in the world. Some people ordered custom ceramics for their family. These pieces are made by Chinese for American clients.

In 19 century, because China had a war in their country. They couldn't produce any more ceramics. So European found another country in Asia which was Japan. Japan had a war with Korea in late 16 century and got many great Korean ceramic craftsmen and developed their own beautiful ceramics.

With Japanese ceramics, European were fancinated by Japanese culture as well. It became one of motivation for the Impressionism at Europe in 19 century.
